Women, Gender, and Literature concentration students can enhance their graduate program by pursuing a Doctoral Portfolio in Women's and Gender Studies. The portfolio program provides an institutional framework and formal recognition for interdisciplinary work in Women's Studies. To complete the doctoral portfolio, students develop a specialization
that is unique to their own interests. The program requires completion
of four Women's and Gender Studies courses, two of which must be taken
outside the student's home department. Portfolio students must also fulfill
other requirements, including participation in the annual Student Gender
Conference sponsored by the Center for Women's Studies. For a complete
listing of the requirements, see the Graduate
Student and Portfolio Guides.
